Cabochons

All of our
cabs, unless otherwise noted, are cut in the classic bezel style which is to say
flat back, bezel cut sides angled roughly 12 degrees and rounded dome. On each
item page, we have included separate heights for the girdle line (top of bezel
cut) and peak of the dome so you can get a better idea of profile. We have also
included approximate MOHS hardness as an aid to jewelers in their finishing procedures.
All of our cabs, unless otherwise noted, have a professional polish using state of
the art diamond tools and compounds. Small pinholes and natural fractures, if
not excessive, can sometimes be found on these cabs. We generally like to offer
our cabs in their natural state, however, these features can be filled with glue
upon request. In our description, we will note if these features exist.
Custom
lapidary work is available via special request at a base rate of $25 an hour.
Please understand that due to the unique patterning and/or coloration of our stones,
matching stones can sometimes be difficult or impossible to produce. If you need
