"Optical Phenomena" Montana Moss Collectors Cabochon

This awesome cab displays an optical effect that we have never seen in Montana Moss Agate before. Impossible to capture in the photos, it displays kind of a shifting, somewhat glowing light bar as the stone is turned, much like the shiller you see in Moonstone. Darned beautiful is what it is!! The back of this stone is polished.

Also known as Big Sky Agate and Cowboy Agate, Montana Moss has thrilled lapidaries and jewelry designers for decades and will continue to do so for many more. Every nodule displays wildly different dendritic structures and is a real adventure to cut as you never know what you will find.
